What plugs into this notch on 3090 FE waterblock?

There is a notch in the acrylic front plate for the 3090 FE waterblock a couple inches above the water ports. I can't figure out what is supposed to plug in there and the documentation is useless for the product.

If the notch is not only in the acrylic front plate but also in the bottom copper, that's to avoid the chipset on the card.  Sorry if our documentation makes you confused. And you can refer to the video by the link here.
