is the BPTA-NTO1218D5 RGB controller compatible with my ASUS x570-PRO motherboard?

the controller is not working when I plug it into the DRGB port on my ASUS motherboard. I do not have the SATA plugged per the instructions

Hello David,

It seems that the DRGB controller you have is not compatible with the motherboard.
You can control the RGB only by the controller. Or connect the RGB strip directly to the motherboard.
