Brand new 3080 TUF waterblock - is the nickel flaking off?

Hello!

I recently purchased a 3080 TUF waterblock (BP-VG3080ASF) from a local retailer in the US. I have only been using the block for 1 week, however there are a lot of copper colored stains now appearing on the waterblock.

Is the nickel flaking off already?

For reference there is no aluminum in my loop. I am using distilled water with Biocide.

Dear Joseph,

It seems that the biocide is not compatible with the water block. Please only use distilled water. Thank you.
