Cleaning fittings

Hello, I have alot of BP Black Sparkle fittings that I need to clean.  I also have an ultrasound sonic cleaner.  Is it safe to clean the fittings in the Ultrasonic Cleaner using just distilled water?  Since these are nickel  plated, I would not want to damage it strip the plating

Yes, it is safe to clean the fitting in the Ultrasonic Cleaner with distilled water. Also, it is better to remove the O-ring. If your fitting has been used over one year, It is better to check and switch the O-ring.
