Hi, I am writing to seek advice on cleaning the water loop of my PC's watercooling system. The entire system is built with Bitspower component, I also have the Bitspower water block for ROG strix 3090. I have noticed some algae buildup in the water tank of the system, and I am concerned about its impact on performance.

I have a dual radiator setup in my water loop, and I would like to know if there is a way to clean the loop without having to drain the entire system or disassemble it completely. This set up is over 30kg and it could be really hard to drain. I understand that proper maintenance is crucial for the longevity and efficiency of the watercooling system, and I want to ensure that I clean it effectively.

Here are some picture of the system.

Could you please provide some guidance or recommendations on how to clean the water loop in this situation? I look forward to hearing your recommendations.

Hi Wen,

Thanks for your response.

It is hard to clean the algae without disassembling the distro plate.
Because the algae are covering the acrylic surface. Maybe you can use a small soft brush to clean it from the top hole, and drain the water from the pump. If that you only need to disassemble the tube from the pump to the bottom radiator.
Since there is no drain fitting in your loop, so please be careful when you drain the system. Also, you can clean the filter as well.

After you reinstall the cooling system, we advise you to use our coolant BPTA-CMCD500, which can avoid the algae, and fill the coolant as much as you can.
Also, you can add a drain fitting in the bottom radiator.

To clean your water loop effectively, start by draining the system completely and flushing it with distilled water to remove any residue or buildup. Use a specialized cleaning solution designed for water-cooling loops to break down any contaminants, then rinse thoroughly with distilled water again. Disassemble blocks, radiators, and fittings if necessary, and scrub them gently to ensure a deep clean. Once everything is dry, reassemble the loop, fill it with fresh coolant, and perform a leak test before running your system. Just like keeping your Roblox APK updated ensures smooth gameplay, maintaining a clean water loop keeps your cooling system running efficiently for optimal performance.
