Can you mount this on your case without the brackets?? Like drilling the holes ion your case

I bought this product, I’m surprised it only comes with fours screws... I mean it has 8 holes. I’m trying to mount it on my case, can I do that without the brackets like drilling the holes instead and passing the screws???
