Question

Hello, I have the flow sensor from you, the link is below. I connected it as described, installed the 5mm nozzle. How do you calculate the rpm in liters of what flows through with the 5mm and 8mm nozzle? I looked and found nothing. The sensor wasn't cheap, why is there nothing in the description about how much flows through with the 5mm and 8mm nozzle. Greetings from Switzerland

Hi Simgo,

Sorry that we could not calculate the rpm in liters of what flows through with the 5mm and 8mm nozzle. Because the flow is calculated in different loops and varies by motherboard, it may differ. The main function of the 5mm and 8mm nozzles is to strengthen the inlet flow to push the impeller more effectively. You can also remove it if the flow is enough strong to push the impeller.

For a 5mm nozzle:

Calculate the Area:

•  Diameter ( d = 5 ) mm = 0.005 m

•  Area ( A = \pi \left(\frac{0.005}{2}\right)^2 \approx 1.96 \times 10^{-5} ) m²

Estimate the Velocity (assuming a velocity of 2 m/s for this example):

•  Flow rate ( Q = 1.96 \times 10^{-5} ) m² ( \times 2 ) m/s = ( 3.92 \times 10^{-5} ) m³/s

•  Convert to L/min: ( 3.92 \times 10^{-5} ) m³/s ( \times 60 ) s/min ( \times 1000 ) L/m³ = 2.35 L/min
