So I was trying to troubleshoot my RGB controller not working. After using the motherboard manufacturer's RGB software, it had stopped doing anything, so I was trying to mess with the software to make the RGB controller work. So I pressed a few buttons and it worked for a few seconds, but after I went through a few RGB settings it stopped working. I was confused and pressing a few buttons, trying to disconnect and reconnect it to the ARGB header on my motherboard when I suddenly felt something really hot against my finger, a glow on the RGB controller, and a little smoke. I ripped out all the power connectors from the RGB controller and partly ripped out the 3-pin-ARGB to motherboard connector of it in the process of unplugging it. I am now unable to activate RGB because I would need an RGB hub to do that. I believe that I should be given a replacement RGB controller to fix the issue.
I purchased the 3 fans + controller + hub from Micro Center a while ago and they had worked fine until today.
