3080 TUF waterblock

Question

From the images of the 3080 TUF waterblock, it looks like the LED strip is covered by a thin metal plate along the top/side of the block:

I assume this is so that you can't see the LEDs directly (like you can on the 2080 block for example), just the light they shine. Is this correct, this plate covers the LEDs?

Hello Jeff,

The plate covers the LED strip, but not the LED light. Because the LED strip is vertical to the block, the plate nearly won't affect the LED light. It has better look than 2080 block because you will not see the LED particles but just the nice RGB light.
